Interesting reflection.

You are so right about Youtube and the compression settings. The best way to approach this is to preset the formats already from the start of your project to fit youtube and any other services you are aiming to use.

Why don't you upload it to both youtube and blip? You could then send the blip link to your viewers and still be exposed to the user base of youtube.

PS. You have a nice voice ;-)

This is actually very similar to my paper topic, which was virtual communities. I also discussed how libraries need to "be where the users are", which is often times online. We should have similar conclusions!!

Did you see the robot in one one of the vendor booths at PLA? It could scan your badge info and greet you by name and where you were from. I amused myself and the vendor reps for about 10 minutes by conversing with the robot.
What songs are there about robots except Mr. Roboto? Sorry, I'm a child of the 70's.

I don't think that I will drop out of school, or loose my job, but I've sure lost a lot of sleep since finding out about a whole bunch of fun networking tools. And so far, my friends and family have not told me to stop sending them the links!

I started writing my paper in Google Docs, but got a little frustrated with the lack of formatting options. I'm probably going to put off getting to know it better until after paper writing anxiety is passed. I'm definitely liking using it to keep copies of articles--I can highlight bits I like to refer back to later.

Shannon, thanks for the tip. Google docs is my latest favorite backup location when I compose a .odt NeoOffice document on my MacBook. This is good news for Google Docs. I have used Google Docs now for several months. No complaints.

Hehe. I went to St. Olaf which is in Northfield and that flyer reminded me of Frisbee Golf in Rolvaag library. However, unlike a lot of gaming events in the library, this one was not sanctioned by the college or the library. It consisted groups of students creating a course through the floors and stacks and bringing their discs in to play. To my knowledge they never got caught. I think it's important for libraries to offer gaming of types, electronic or otherwise. While I may not personally sanction Frisbee Golf as a librarian, secretly I'd be impressed with the creative use of the library.
